The Opposition Meeting in Paris

Response from the presedent of the Syrian Future Movement to Elaph Magazine’s Question:
Elaph Magazine: In your opinion, what can the upcoming Paris conference do for Syria? And what can it offer to the opposition?
Answer from the presedent of the Syrian Future Movement:
I believe that the call for this conference, especially amidst the internal situation Syria is currently experiencing, with the astonishing and almost mythical progress made by the revolutionaries on the ground and with limited resources, is an attempt to overthrow these revolutionaries—many of whom support the Islamic current in both its moderate and extremist forms. They share a common goal of establishing an Islamic state, despite differing visions regarding its mechanisms.
There is an attempt to correct the mistake of neglect by supporting and promoting secular or liberal-oriented parties and movements—those who believe in the separation of religion from the state—pushing them to form a unified entity that matches the emblem raised at the beginning of our revolution, maintaining it after it was obscured by the black flag of the prophetic Muhammadan symbol.
Ultimately, this aims to create a new entity (a caesarean birth) with French tailoring standards, designed to minimize the role of the National Coalition and the National Council, and attempt to neutralize their dynamic force—the “Muslim Brotherhood” group, which has been given the Islamic mantle (a scarecrow for the Western Crusader enemy!).
Moreover, it seeks to establish interlocutors claiming to represent the Syrian people, who would agree to a deal of partitioning the land and people (a deal now coming together under Russian support).
In light of this vision, the only outcome for the poor Syrian people would be sufficient time to let one side of the conflict (the system or the revolutionaries) lose. If it’s the first side, the team preparing the upcoming phase is under French preparation. If it’s the second side, a quick conference must be convened to decide on military consolidation (empowering the team groomed by France to lead the post-Assad era) with the main priority being the removal of the reborn Islamic monster.
In short: I see this conference as a source of division—between exiled opposition factions being re-partitioned into groups (“believers and non-believers”), along with extreme right and left ideologies, grinding whatever remains of a homeland and its citizens to dust.
Bashar Assad should prepare to enjoy the new arrangement of his final papers—whether it becomes an independent state and entity or an arranged safe exit.
