The Syrian Future Movement is pleased to continue documenting Syrian success stories that bring honor to the nation, publishing them periodically on its website under the title “Syrian Successes,” believing that Syrian excellence on the international stage is a message of hope and confidence in the country’s future.
From Damascus to the World Podium:
Syrian champion Mirghana Al-Hajji (16 years old) achieved a historic feat at the World Powerlifting Championships currently being held in South Africa, winning three gold medals and one silver medal in the junior 57 kg weight category.
These medals did not come easily, but were the fruit of years of training and the unwavering determination befitting a “Syrian lioness.”
In the squat competition, she lifted 180 kg to claim gold, and in the deadlift, she lifted 157.5 kg, winning another gold medal, bringing her total to 392.5 kg and securing her third gold medal overall. She also won a silver medal in the bench press with a lift of 55 kg.
This young Syrian team, representing Syria at a global sporting event, affirms that the Syrian will knows no bounds, and that Syrian talent is capable of competing with the world’s strongest when given the opportunity and support.
The Syrian Future Movement’s Vision:
The Syrian Future Movement considers this achievement more than just a sporting triumph; it is living proof that Syrians, wherever they may be, carry with them the genes of strength and determination, and a unique ability to transform challenges into platforms of excellence and national pride.
We see in such an achievement conclusive evidence that Syria’s true wealth lies not in its land, but in the strength of its people and the energy of its youth, who raise their nation’s name high in the most important international arenas.
From this perspective, the Syrian Future Movement affirms that restoring Syria’s leading role in the region and the world begins with serious investment in the sports and youth sector, providing the necessary infrastructure and support programs to nurture champions, and encouraging a culture of achievement and excellence among the new generations.
Individual successes, when combined and directed, transform into a collective driving force capable of rebuilding a new Syria on the foundations of strength, knowledge, and innovation. The Syrian Future Movement commends this honorable achievement and hopes that stories like this will inspire Syrian youth everywhere and serve as an open invitation to the international and sporting community to invest in promising Syrian talents, who have proven time and again their ability to make a difference, given the opportunity and support.
The new Syria is being built by Syrian hands and minds, and these successes are the first seeds for a stronger, brighter, and more prosperous future.
