The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the launch of the national campaign to remove rubble in the Hama countryside, which has so far included the areas of Mahardah, Suran, Al-Suqaylabiyah, and Salamiyah, in cooperation with government agencies, relief organizations, and local communities.
The Syrian Future Movement views this campaign as a practical and important step towards restoring normalcy to areas that have suffered from the devastation of war and neglect for many years.
We believe that rubble removal is a patriotic act that symbolizes the Syrian people’s determination to rebuild their homeland with their own hands, and restores hope to the residents of the affected areas for a safe and dignified return to their homes and lands.
In this context, the Syrian Future Movement reiterates its previous firm positions, which have always affirmed that reconstruction and economic and social recovery must be a top national priority, and that restoring a dignified standard of living and social stability cannot be achieved without removing the effects of war from the lives of citizens.
The Syrian Future Movement calls on the interim government and relevant authorities to:
- Expand the scope of the campaign to include all affected areas in the Hama countryside and other governorates, while establishing a clear and transparent timetable for the work and announcing it to the public.
- Allocate a sufficient and sustainable budget for these campaigns, ensuring the genuine and effective participation of local communities and NGOs in planning, implementation, and follow-up.
- Link debris removal operations to integrated programs for rehabilitating essential infrastructure (roads, electricity, water, schools, hospitals, and health centers) to achieve a rapid and safe return for residents.
- Document the damage scientifically and professionally and create a comprehensive national database of affected areas, paving the way for submitting reconstruction requests in regional and international forums to ensure genuine and transparent support.
The Syrian Future Movement reaffirms its full commitment to supporting every national effort aimed at removing the effects of war and restoring life to affected areas, emphasizing that reconstruction is a comprehensive national project that rebuilds trust between the state and its citizens and lays the foundations for a new Syria based on sovereignty, dignity, and social justice.
