Opening of Martyrs’ Square in the town of Hazrama

At the kind invitation of the residents of Hazrama in Eastern Ghouta, Dr. Zaher Badran, head of the Syrian Future Movement, attended the opening ceremony of Martyrs’ Square on Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2025.

The ceremony included a parade of military and cavalry units, followed by the unveiling of the marble monument at the center of the square. The names of the martyrs—men, women, and children—are inscribed on its four sides. Official speeches were also delivered by military figures.

Accompanying the head of the movement was Mr. Wael Alwan, researcher and director of the Jusoor Center for Studies in Damascus.
