The eleventh anniversary of the founding of the Syrian Civil Defense “White Helmets”

In 2014, a resolute Syrian will was born, embodied in the Syrian Civil Defense, better known as the White Helmets, a symbol of sacrifice and humanity in the most difficult circumstances. Today, as we celebrate its eleventh anniversary, we recall the spirit of those who made their duty to save the lives of others a mission that transcends politics, becoming an eternal moral and humanitarian act.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that the White Helmets, since their founding, have demonstrated the true meaning of civic responsibility: being present when others are in danger and assuming the duty to defend innocent lives, regardless of the risks.
In this sense, their role is not limited to simply saving the body; it includes protecting human dignity and preserving hope in a society reeling from war and disaster.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that the recent decision to integrate the White Helmets into the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management represents a strategic political step that reflects the state’s maturity in strengthening national institutions and affirms that humanitarian work must receive institutional support to ensure its continuity and effectiveness. But it is also a reminder that protecting life is not a choice, but an enduring moral obligation, and that the duty of goodness and compassion transcends narrow affiliations and interests.

As we, the Syrian Future Movement, celebrate this occasion, we affirm our absolute support for the White Helmets and appreciate the individual and collective sacrifices they have made. They are a living model of responsible citizenship and the altruism that enables a person to transform suffering into a glimmer of hope and danger into an opportunity for good.

May God have mercy on the martyrs, perpetuate their resolve, and make every White Helmets volunteer a living example that humanity is not a slogan, but rather an action and a decision, and that the true strength of any society is measured by its ability to protect its most vulnerable members.
