The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the announcement by the spokesperson of the Military Operations Administration, Colonel Hassan Abdul Ghani, regarding the assumption of the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic by the General Administration’s leader in Syria, Mr. Ahmed Al-Shara, for a transitional phase. During this period, he will carry out the duties of the presidency and represent Syria in international forums.
The Syrian Future Movement considers this announcement a safeguard against military factional conflicts in Syria. We commend the stance of military factions in preventing Syria from plunging into potential conflicts and call on the remaining factions to unite under Syria’s national flag and avoid any futile military escalation.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the current priority is to establish a leadership elected by civilians, free from military interference or manipulation.
The Syrian Future Movement pledges all its resources to support the course set by President Ahmed Al-Shara, which includes filling the power vacuum, maintaining civil peace, building state institutions, developing an economic infrastructure, and restoring Syria’s regional and international standing.
The Syrian Future Movement views the victory declaration as a military statement that does not reflect the positions of political, civil, or popular entities, which should instead be expressed through free and fair elections. It is the responsibility of all Syrians to uphold this principle during the transitional phase and beyond.
