On this day in 2012: Demonstrations took place in Hama condemning Bashar al-Assad’s speech. The protests covered the neighborhoods of Bab Qibli, Al-Aliliyat, Sheikh Anbar, Al-Hamidiyah, and Al-Qusour in the city of Hama, as well as the towns and villages of Kafr Zita, Karnaz, and Kafr Nabudah. Meanwhile, a pro-regime march was held in the morning at Al-Nisr Roundabout.
