Podcast Syrian Future Movement (47): Military, Police, Security and Intelligence Services from the Current Perspective (1)

  1. Exclusion and cessation of the forces of the army, armed forces, and security services from any future political practice, as well as from assuming power or any political positions, and we reject their intervention in the context of any political competition or national entitlement, and we reject any political exploitation of the intelligence services against other political forces.
  2. The role of the military is to defend the state and its sovereignty from any external aggression, and only to protect the national borders and maintain the state’s national security, although they can be asked to participate in humanitarian operations and emergency relief in cases of disasters.
  3. We reject the involvement of the military in any peaceful and civilian popular movement, and we do not accept its deployment in governorates, cities, and villages without a temporary and specific parliamentary authorization.
