The 12th Anniversary the Founding of the SFM (1): Revolution for All Syrians

  • Twelve years ago, the Syrian Future Movement was born out of a revolution that carried the pain and hope of Syrians for change. This came after the Assad regime—both father and son—suffocated the political life and closed every door to genuine prospects for change, in a scene where reform was stifled, reformers were persecuted, and freedoms were suppressed.
  • The 2011 revolution became a moment of eruption for the people against a system of oppression, brutality, and deception—a regime that falsified and buried the truth, even burying those who sought to revive or shed light on it.
  • It was a popular movement that represented all Syrians, regardless of their backgrounds and affiliations. Simultaneously, opposition elites rose to the forefront of the political scene, consolidating their efforts as much as possible, and boldly declaring their confrontation with the one-party policies and the one-leader regime.
