The Syrian Future Movement, born from the womb of the blessed Syrian revolution as a comprehensive national movement striving to build a state of citizenship and justice, believes that the unique Syrian identity is nourished by the depth of its cultural and religious diversity, and that the values of sacrifice and resistance against tyranny are common threads uniting the contemporary national struggle with the spiritual and historical heritage of our people.
In this context, the Syrian Future Movement joins its fellow citizens from the Christian denominations following both the Western and Eastern calendars in commemorating this significant religious and historical occasion: the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist (Prophet Yahya, peace be upon him).

The Syrian Future Movement affirms that protecting coexistence and preserving religious and sectarian diversity in Syria are the cornerstones of stability during the transitional phase. It considers freedom of belief and the practice of religious rites to be sacred and inviolable sovereign rights, above all constitutional and legal considerations.
The Syrian Future Movement acknowledges that the Syrian Christian community is an integral and fundamental component of the country’s historical and cultural identity, and categorically rejects any attempts to displace this community or marginalize its political and social role in shaping the future of a free Syria.
The Syrian Future Movement calls upon all national forces and actors to transform shared religious occasions into platforms for building bridges of genuine national dialogue and removing the remnants left by the despotic regime that consistently sought to tear society apart and sow discord to ensure its survival.
The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that transitional justice and holding accountable all those who have committed crimes against the Syrian people—without discrimination—are the only guarantee for establishing lasting peace. This occasion also reminds us that the blood of reformers and martyrs is not shed in vain, and that the end of injustice is a historical inevitability.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the Syria of the future we aspire to is a state of law and institutions, embracing all its citizens on the basis of equal citizenship with equal rights and responsibilities, far removed from the mentality of quotas or exclusion.
