The Minister of Health has allocated a weekly meeting with citizens.

The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the positive initiative announced by Health Minister Dr. Musab Al-Ali on Sunday, January 11, 2026, which stipulates a weekly direct meeting with Syrian citizens every Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ministry headquarters, starting this week. The aim is to enhance direct communication, listen to citizens’ health concerns and suggestions, and work towards finding appropriate solutions to these issues.

The Syrian Future Movement considers this step a qualitative shift in public administration after years of isolation and neglect. It reflects a commitment to the principles of transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to citizens’ concerns. It complements existing complaint channels rather than replacing them, thus strengthening public trust in the new state institutions.

The Syrian Future Movement commends the simultaneous announcement of the formation of a joint committee between the Ministries of Health and Finance to reform the health insurance system in three phases, beginning in 2026. These phases include improving financial coverage for state employees, establishing a state-supervised solidarity insurance system, and linking insurance to digital transformation to reduce corruption and misuse. The Movement considers these measures essential for raising the efficiency of health services and improving the living standards of workers.

The Syrian Future Movement calls on all ministers and officials in the transitional government to follow this initiative and open channels for direct meetings and regular dialogue with citizens across all sectors. Listening directly to the people is fundamental to building trust and restoring the state’s role as a servant of its people, not the other way around.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that the success of these initiatives requires their continuity and seriousness, translating promises into tangible achievements on the ground, moving beyond mere formalities, and ensuring broad participation from all segments of society, including remote and marginalized areas.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that genuine reform begins with engaging with the people and responding to their daily needs. It believes that such steps, if repeated and developed, will serve as a model for rebuilding the Syrian state on the foundations of freedom, dignity, and justice.

The Syrian Future Movement wishes the Minister of Health and all those working to improve healthcare services every success. It calls on all Syrians to actively participate in these meetings to make their voices heard and build a healthier future for everyone.
