The Syrian Future Movement is following with grave concern the recent security developments in Homs Governorate, where authorities announced on December 24, 2025, the arrest of an individual accused of writing sectarian incitement on the walls of city neighborhoods, as documented in a video circulating on social media. We believe these actions, which aim to incite sectarian strife and undermine civil peace, represent a direct threat to Syrian national unity, which is the foundation for building a prosperous future for all Syrians without discrimination.
The Syrian Future Movement strongly condemns all forms of sectarian incitement and hatred, considering them desperate attempts to undermine social cohesion.
In this context, the Syrian Future Movement welcomes the swift arrest of the perpetrator and commends the effective security measures taken by the competent authorities, considering them a decisive step in combating sectarian rhetoric and strengthening stability. We also call for the continuation of these legal and awareness-raising efforts to prevent the recurrence of such incidents, while emphasizing the importance of applying the law to everyone without exception.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that this position aligns with the national vision we have expressed in previous statements published on our official website, which consistently emphasizes the rejection of hatred and the promotion of national unity as the foundation for Syria’s future.

Based on these visions, the Syrian Future Movement calls on all Syrian parties, including official bodies, civil society, and citizens, to promote national dialogue and raise awareness against inflammatory rhetoric, with a focus on building a shared future based on justice, equality, and comprehensive development. The Syria of the future that we aspire to is a unified Syria, where its people cooperate to build a pluralistic civil state that achieves prosperity for all, far from the specter of strife and divisions.
