The Syrian Future Movement is following with great interest the positive developments in Syrian-American relations, and the promising potential they hold for supporting recovery and reconstruction efforts, and strengthening Syria’s presence in its regional and international environment, within an approach based on shared interests and mutual respect.
The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the conference held in Washington, D.C., on December 13, 2025, entitled “United for Syria: A Vision for the Future.” This conference was the result of a coalition of active Syrian-American organizations, including the Syrian American Council, the Karam Foundation, MedGlobal, Citizens for a Safe and Stable America, and the Syrian American Coalition for Peace and Prosperity, reflecting a well-organized civil movement seeking to contribute to shaping Syria’s future.
The Syrian Future Movement appreciates the participation of high-level Syrian and American figures in the conference, including Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, along with representatives from civil society and research organizations. The discussions offered practical visions for formulating a future roadmap, focusing on vital sectors such as healthcare, education, technology, and innovation. They emphasized the importance of collaborative work, strengthening ties with the Syrian diaspora, and creating the appropriate conditions to support reconstruction and sustainable development efforts.
The Syrian Future Movement considers this event a positive step towards consolidating strategic partnerships between Syria and the United States, serving the path to building a stable and prosperous state and enhancing opportunities for a well-considered engagement with the international community, within a national vision that preserves sovereignty and safeguards the best interests of the Syrian people.
In this context, the Syrian Future Movement reiterates its position published on its official website on November 19, 2025, entitled “The American Bet on the New Syria and the Balance of Strategies.” This position emphasized the importance of building comprehensive and institutional relationships with the United States across all its components, including Congress, political parties, research centers, and civil society. It stressed that communication should not be limited to the executive branch alone, as this would ensure the sustainability of partnerships and mitigate the impact of political fluctuations.
The Syrian Future Movement calls upon all Syrian parties and international partners to support such constructive initiatives and work to transform them into practical avenues of cooperation. This call stems from the firm conviction that responsible international cooperation is a fundamental pillar for achieving stability and prosperity in the new Syria.
