The United Arab Emirates delivers 16 ambulances to the Syrian Ministry of Health

The Syrian Future Movement is following with great interest the positive steps that contribute to strengthening humanitarian and developmental capacities in Syria, including the delivery by the United Arab Emirates of 16 fully equipped ambulances to the Syrian Ministry of Health on Monday, November 24, 2025, through the International Charity Foundation, in the presence of representatives from both official sides.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that this humanitarian initiative comes at a time when the Syrian health sector is suffering from severe challenges resulting from years of conflict and crises, and represents practical support that enhances the response to medical emergencies and improves services provided to Syrian citizens.

However, we are fully aware of the historical context that shaped relations between Syria and the UAE, as the latter was among the leading countries in confronting the Arab Spring, which led to deep political differences in the past. Today, however, in light of the current regional transformations, reality dictates the necessity of opening a new chapter based on the principles of mutual respect and shared interests, moving beyond past disagreements.

The Syrian Future Movement believes this step could mark the beginning of a new era of cooperation based on development partnerships. The UAE possesses a leading experience in economic development and innovation, while Syria requires international support to rebuild its infrastructure and strengthen its humanitarian capabilities.

Furthermore, we believe that strengthening ties in the health, education, and economic sectors will not only benefit both countries but will extend to the entire Arab region, contributing to regional stability based on sustainable development and constructive dialogue, and sparing peoples the dangers of unnecessary escalations.

In this context, the Syrian Future Movement calls on all parties to reinforce this approach by:

  1. Expanding humanitarian cooperation to include training programs and additional medical equipment, with a focus on the most vulnerable areas in Syria.
  2. Establishing regular political and diplomatic dialogues to build trust and discuss shared interests, reflecting a commitment to the principles of sovereignty and mutual respect.
  3. Encouraging joint investments in sustainable development projects, such as renewable energy and digital education, to strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two brotherly nations.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that peace and stability in the region begin with practical steps like these, and that opening new chapters requires political courage and a shared will to move beyond the past towards a better future that serves everyone.
