Rejecting inflammatory rhetoric against women and minorities

The Syrian Future Movement is monitoring inflammatory statements, including those made by a parliamentary candidate prior to his election to the Syrian People’s Assembly. These statements included calls to bear arms and teach children how to use them, as well as inflammatory stances against women and minorities. The movement emphasizes that these statements should represent the individual’s personal position and do not in any way reflect the position of the Syrian parliament or state, as the parliament has not yet convened and has not yet been officially elected.

The Syrian Future Movement calls for the complete condemnation of any inflammatory or racist rhetoric, whether issued by a person before or after assuming official office, as it threatens civil peace and the unity of Syrian society.

The Syrian Future Movement calls for adherence to the laws and ethics of elected representatives upon their official election, to ensure that incitement to violence or discrimination against any segment of society is not repeated.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the protection of the rights of women, children, and minorities, and adherence to national values ​​that ensure the safety and stability of society.

The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the strengthening of national unity and civil peace, ensuring that national institutions serve as a platform for democratic expression and national responsibility, far from any discourse that sows hatred or violence. It also emphasizes the need to encourage a culture of dialogue and political responsibility, and to ensure that all elected representatives represent the interests of the Syrian people without bias or discrimination.

The Syrian Future Movement declares that the next phase requires full national awareness, respect for the law, and efforts to consolidate the values ​​of justice and social peace, to ensure the construction of a modern Syria capable of confronting internal and external challenges and achieving the interests of all citizens.
