The Syrian Future Movement expresses its deep welcome to the statements made at the UN Security Council session held on September 18, 2025, which witnessed a rare international consensus to support Syria’s unity, respect its sovereignty, and reject repeated Israeli violations of its territory.
We consider this UN position to represent a qualitative shift in the international discourse regarding the new Syria and enhance the chances of a sustainable political solution.
We in the Syrian Future Movement appreciate the positions expressed by member states, which called for the lifting of sanctions, support for the Suwayda Roadmap, and the promotion of comprehensive national dialogue.
We see in these international messages an affirmation that Syria is no longer an arena of conflict, but rather a focus of international consensus and an opportunity to build a new political model based on justice, pluralism, and respect for international law.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that respect for Syrian sovereignty cannot be achieved through slogans, but rather through the support of strong national, civil institutions that represent all components of the Syrian people without exception.
We commend the positions condemning Israeli violations and calling for the state to restrict the use of weapons. We call for these positions to be translated into practical measures that ensure the protection of Syrian territory and decision-making.
The Syrian Future Movement considers the Sweida map, which has received widespread international acclaim, to be a model for resolving local crises. We emphasize that solutions begin from within, when political will is present and the space is opened for community and civil initiatives.
The Syrian Future Movement calls for building on this international consensus and transforming it into a clearly defined political path that leads to free elections and comprehensive national reconciliation, and restores Syria’s natural place within its regional and international environment.
We also affirm our full readiness to contribute to this path, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of Syrians for freedom, dignity, and justice.
