Meeting of the Americans and the Syrian President in Damascus

The Syrian Future Movement is closely following the meeting between Commander of the US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, and US Ambassador Thomas Barrack, with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Presidential Palace in Damascus.

We also welcome all efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in Syria and combating the threat of ISIS, which continues to threaten the lives of Syrians and the security of the region.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that international cooperation to support the stability and reconstruction of Syria is a necessary step to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people to build a unified state where justice and peace prevail. However, we emphasize the importance of these efforts being comprehensive, respecting the will of the Syrian people, and promoting national reconciliation by integrating all components of Syrian society into a transparent political process.

The Syrian Future Movement calls for continued dialogue between all parties to ensure the achievement of a shared vision for a future Syria, free from any agendas that might deepen divisions or threaten national sovereignty. We also demand that these efforts be accompanied by concrete steps to support the country’s reconstruction, the return of refugees, and the achievement of transitional justice that heals the wounds of the past.

The Syrian Future Movement renews its commitment to working for a unified, pluralistic Syria and calls on all national and international parties to support a comprehensive process that ensures the country’s stability and prosperity.
