In light of the profound economic challenges facing Syria, and with the ongoing recovery and reconstruction efforts, the Syrian Future Movement welcomes the launch of the “Invest in Aleppo” platform as an initiative aimed at stimulating investment activity and enhancing transparency in the local business environment.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that this step, although belated, reflects a growing awareness of the importance of a productive and sustainable economy and paves the way for repositioning Aleppo as a vital economic center in the region, after years of systematic destruction and institutional marginalization.

The need to create an attractive legislative and tax environment for investment, ensuring the protection of investor rights and enhancing confidence in local institutions.
The importance of the platform’s independence from traditional bureaucracy and ensuring its management by economic and technical experts capable of delivering truly feasible projects.
The need to link the platform to clear performance indicators that enable assessment of its effectiveness in creating job opportunities, achieving local growth, and improving the quality of life in the city.
A call to engage the Syrian private sector abroad and provide real incentives for the return of national capital, free from narrow political considerations.
Emphasizing that economic recovery cannot be achieved without comprehensive political reform that guarantees the rule of law and rebuilds trust between citizens and the state.
The Syrian Future Movement believes this platform represents an initial opportunity, but it is insufficient unless it is complemented by structural measures that restore the Syrian economy as a lever for development, rather than a tool for taxation or political exploitation.
