

On Saturday, August 30, 2025, a delegation from the Syrian Future Movement, accompanied by a group of prominent figures from Damascus, visited the home of Ambassador Dr. Farouk Taha in the Kafr Sousa area of central Damascus.
It should be noted that Dr. Farouk Taha was the first Syrian diplomat to announce his defection from the Bashar al-Assad regime, on July 17, 2012.
During the visit, the Ambassador’s academic career and distinguished diplomatic history were reviewed. The head of the movement then presented him, in the presence of all present, with the Syrian Future Movement’s honorary shield for figures who supported the Syrian revolution, in recognition of his contributions and appreciation for his contributions and sacrifices.
