The Syrian Future Movement is following with deep concern media reports of a new incursion by Israeli occupation forces into the Quneitra countryside on Monday, August 25, 2025. This is a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and international laws prohibiting attacks on the territory of sovereign states.
We, the Syrian Future Movement, reaffirm the statement we published on our official website on December 10, 2024, entitled “Regarding Israel’s Attacks on Syria.” We emphasize:
- Our absolute rejection of any form of occupation or foreign military incursion into Syrian territory, whether by Israel or any other party, and we consider it a direct threat to Syria’s unity and stability.
- We condemn this escalation, which comes at a sensitive time when the country is experiencing a critical phase of political and humanitarian challenges. We call on the international community to assume its responsibilities in deterring repeated Israeli violations in southern Syria.
- We affirm that the occupied Syrian Golan Heights will remain an integral part of Syrian national territory, and that any attempts to impose a new reality by force will not change this historical and legal reality.
- We call on Syrian national forces to close ranks and unify their positions in confronting these violations, away from political tensions, because national sovereignty is not subject to bargaining or negotiation.
- We demand that the United Nations and the Security Council take a clear and firm stance against this incursion and implement relevant international resolutions, most notably Resolution 497, which affirms the illegitimacy of the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights.
The Syrian Future Movement will continue to defend the rights of Syrians to their land and will remain a free voice in the face of all forms of aggression and occupation, believing that national dignity is indivisible and sovereignty is non-negotiable.
