Graduating the first batch of the anti -drug cycle in the city of Harim

At a time when the scourge of drugs is exacerbated and the exhausted body of the Syrian society is ravaged, we continue in the Syrian Future Movement with great attention to the announcement of the Ministry of Interior in the Syrian government to graduate the first batch of the drug control course in the city of Harim on August 10, 2025, in the presence of delegations from Qatar and Iraq.

The Syrian Future Movement, as it values every sincere effort made in order to confront this moral and social catastrophe.

In March 2025, the Syrian Future Movement has previously launched research studies entitled: “Drugs and their danger to human and Syrian society”, dealt with numbers and analysis how the drug trade turned into a systematic destruction tool, used to dismantle the social fabric, feed the economies of war, and perpetuate the culture of impunity.

The study concluded that drug control can only be effective if it is associated with:

  • Reforming justice and security institutions, and immunizing them from corruption and politicization.
  • The involvement of the local community in control and awareness, not as a negative recipient but as an active partner.
  • Dismantling of production and smuggling networks related to military and economic influence centers.
  • Building real rehabilitation programs for addicts, preserving their dignity and reintegrating them into society.

The Syrian Future Movement considers the presence of Arab delegations in this event that carries positive indications, but it does not exempt the local authorities from the responsibility of providing a moral and transparent model in managing this file. The drugs are a corruption system that is produced, marketed and protected.

The Syrian Future Movement confirms its full commitment to confronting this scourge, and we call for the transformation of this training course to the beginning of a comprehensive national path that is based on knowledge, is managed by transparency, and is monitored by society.

Let this graduation be a first step towards a future that is not managed by sedatives, but rather is based on consciousness and confrontation.
