The Syrian Future Movement condemns in the strongest terms the blatant Israeli aggression that targeted state institutions and civilian and military facilities in Damascus, Sweida, Daraa, and Moadamiya, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children. This attack constitutes a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic. We affirm here that this aggression cannot be separated from the Israeli occupation’s approach of destabilizing and undermining national and regional security.
The Syrian Future Movement considers this brutal attack a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. It comes within the context of a systematic policy pursued by the Israeli occupation to reshape the Syrian landscape according to its interests, by targeting the national infrastructure and attempting to impose new facts on the ground. This requires a unified national stance and a firm political, diplomatic, military, and popular response.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that defending territory and national sovereignty is an inherent right guaranteed by international legitimacy. It believes that confronting this aggression must be part of a comprehensive national strategy based on international law, strengthening the cohesion of the internal front, and thwarting attempts to exploit local or sectarian divisions.
The Syrian Future Movement calls on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to assume its legal and moral responsibilities regarding this dangerous escalation, take immediate action to halt the repeated Israeli aggression, ensure respect for Syria’s sovereignty as a member state of the United Nations, and reject any practices that threaten regional security and open the door to further chaos.
The Syrian Future Movement expresses its deep astonishment and rejection of the statements issued by the Sheikhdom of the Mind, represented by Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, which included a call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to provide support. We consider this call, given the ongoing aggression and the loss of lives, to represent a departure from the national consensus and raises serious questions about the nature of the alignments that exploit Syrian components to serve foreign agendas.
The Syrian Future Movement affirms that any identification with the Israeli occupation, under any pretext, constitutes a betrayal of Syrian blood and complicity with the aggressor. It threatens the country’s unity and legitimizes aggression. We also categorically reject any rhetoric that justifies or covers up Israeli crimes against the Syrian people, regardless of its source or justification.
The Syrian Future Movement reiterates its commitment to the unity of Syria, its land and people, and its absolute rejection of any foreign intervention that seeks to dismantle the state or exploit its social and religious components. It emphasizes that the solution lies in a comprehensive national dialogue that restores the country’s institutions and establishes a new era of sovereignty, justice, and national reconciliation.
The Syrian Future Movement declares its unwavering commitment to working for a free, independent, and democratic Syria that enjoys security and stability and regains its natural place in its Arab and international environment. It affirms that justice can only be achieved by condemning the aggressor, providing justice to the victims, and building strong national institutions that embody the aspirations of Syrians for freedom, dignity, and sovereignty.
We, in the Syrian Future Movement, affirm a number of constants:
▪︎ Seeking support from any external party against the Syrian state is treason.
▪︎ Preserving the security of the country and its people as a whole is a trust.
▪︎ Unifying all Syrian territory is an obligation.
▪︎ Resolving points of contention and hotbeds of tension is a duty.
