The Israeli claims of protecting the Druze community fall apart in light of the agreement reached between the Syrian government and the Druze sheikhs, which affirmed national unity and rejected any attempt to exploit sects as a justification for foreign intervention.
The Syrian Future Movement considers the Israeli bombardment a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and an obvious attempt to sow confusion and hinder national efforts to establish internal stability. As the Syrian state takes serious steps toward resolving critical issues through dialogue and responsibility, this Israeli aggression confirms that its true objective is not to protect any Syrian component, but rather to perpetuate chaos and prevent any consensus that could build peace.
