The Syrian Future Movement followed with interest and satisfaction the participation of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad Al-Shar‘, yesterday, Friday, 2025-04-11, in the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held under the slogan “Advancing Diplomacy in a Divided World.” The Movement considers this participation a positive step toward repositioning Syria within its regional and international surroundings, based on a new vision rooted in dialogue and shared interests, rather than in clashes and conflicts.
The Syrian Future Movement views Syria’s engagement in such international forums as an expression of a profound transformation in the political discourse of the nascent state. It affirms that wise diplomacy is the optimal path to overcoming challenges, solidifying the foundations of just peace, and ensuring collective security in the region.
The Movement values the statements made in President Al-Shar‘’s speech, particularly his emphasis on the unity and sovereignty of Syrian territory and his commitment to developing bilateral relations with participating countries in a manner that primarily serves the interests of the Syrian people while enhancing mutual understanding and integration with fraternal and friendly nations.
The Syrian Future Movement expresses its appreciation for the Turkish efforts in hosting this international forum and values the bilateral meetings held by the President with a number of leaders and officials. These engagements reflect the maturity of Syria’s political presence and its capacity to actively contribute to shaping a future that is more stable and open.
While appreciating this participation, the Syrian Future Movement reaffirms its support for a policy of balanced openness and calls for continued adoption of diplomatic approaches as the foundation for international relations, along with constructive coordination with regional and global powers in order to rebuild Syria on democratic foundations—independent in decision-making, strong in presence, and clear in vision.
