The President of the Syrian Future Movement, Dr. Zahir Badrani, visited the headquarters of the Arab Writers Union on Mazzeh Highway in Damascus, where he was received by the President of the Arab Writers Union in Syria, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani.
The meeting was cordial, discussing various issues of interest to writers, the future role of the union, and the possibility of fostering mutual cooperation between the Syrian Future Movement and the union.
The President of the Syrian Future Movement also reviewed the efforts of the Arab Writers Union over the past decade, including the reinstatement of members who had been dismissed for their political opposition to the Assad regime.
The discussion touched on the necessity of unifying cultural and literary efforts with Syrian cultural institutions through the integration of Syrian unions and associations into the Arab Writers Union, fostering partnerships with research and study centers, and relying on qualified professionals to enhance the union’s pioneering and distinguished role.
