From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 02/02/2012

On this day in 2012: Evening demonstrations took place in Deir ez-Zor province, including the city of Deir ez-Zor (in the neighborhoods of Jbeila, Takaya, the public square, and Hassan Taha Street), as well as the towns and villages of Baqras, Jirthi, and Kharita. Protesters burned pictures of General Dabi and the Russian flag in the public square and raised the revolution flag in place of the former Basil al-Assad statue.
