  • The Media Office for the Syrian Future Movement Published: From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 2013/01/06, On this day in 2013: A demonstration took place in the city of Ras al-Ayn (Serê Kaniyê) in Al-Hasakah Governorate in response to Bashar al-Assad’s speech, in which he expressed gratitude to the city’s residents for preventing armed fighters from entering from Turkey. The demonstration included a defected officer from the Free Syrian Army and Kurdish fighters who declared during the protest that they were neither with the regime nor with the Free Syrian Army.
