On this day in 2012: Demonstrations took place in the city of Raqqa, including student protests at the Colleges of Education and Arts at Al-Furat University – Raqqa branch. Male and female students from Ibn Khaldoun and Hamida Al-Tahir High Schools gathered in a joint demonstration, and popular protests occurred on Tel Abyad Street and February 23 Street.
