On this day in 2012: The capital, Damascus, and its southern regions witnessed demonstrations on the “Sham Countryside Friday: Victory Fingers Over the Palace.” Protests erupted in Barzeh Al-Balad, Jobar, Al-Qadam, Al-Madaniyah, Al-Asali, Hujaira, and Sbeineh.
