From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 12/11/2011

On this day in 2011: The Council of the Arab League issued Resolution No. 7438, which suspended the participation of delegations from the “Government of the Syrian Arab Republic” in the Council’s meetings and in all affiliated organizations and agencies until it fully implemented the commitments it had agreed upon under the Arab Action Plan. The Council also decided to impose several economic and political sanctions on the Syrian regime’s government, calling on the Syrian opposition to unite and meet at the League’s headquarters to agree on a unified vision for the upcoming transitional phase.
