On this day in 2011: In Idlib governorate, demonstrations took place in cities and towns such as Idlib city, Ariha, Maaret al-Numan, Khan Shaykhun, Hazano, Sarmin, Al-Hbeit, Saraqib, Hass, Kafr Takharim, Kfaruma, Al-Tmanah, Kourin, Ram Hamdan, Zardna, and Serjha. Additionally, a women’s demonstration was held in Maaret al-Numan in front of the home of one of the city’s martyrs. Protesters chanted in solidarity with Homs and other Syrian cities, condemned the Arab League’s initiative, and called for international protection for civilians in Syria.
