From the memory of the Syrian revolution: 16/09/2013

On this day in 2013: The UN investigation team confirmed the use of chemical weapons in Ghouta. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon briefed the UN Security Council in a closed session on the report of the UN investigation team in Syria regarding the use of chemical weapons. The report confirmed the widespread use of chemical weapons against civilians in Eastern Ghouta on August 21, 2013. However, the team’s mandate did not include identifying those responsible for the attack.
