On this day in 2012: The city of Aleppo witnessed demonstrations after the Taraweeh prayer in the neighborhoods of Al-Maysar, Al-Khalidiya, from the Thawban Mosque in the Al-Jabriya neighborhood, and from the Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman Mosque in the Bustan Al-Qasr neighborhood. Syrian regime forces opened fire on the demonstrations in Al-Khalidiya and Al-Maysar. Security forces, supported by groups of Shabiha, attacked the protesters in Al-Maysar and Al-Jabriya, assaulted them, and arrested several of them.
