Wave of racism against Syrians in Türkiye

The Syrian Future Movement condemns the racist actions against Syrians, the destruction of their property, and the abuse they endured in the Turkish province of Kayseri, as well as the harassment they face in the Turkish province of Gaziantep.

The Syrian Future Movement holds the head of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad, responsible for the ongoing suffering of the Syrian people at home and abroad.

The Syrian Future Movement rejects any official statement mentioning the nationality of the criminal, which entails racist crimes.

The Syrian Future Movement believes that some Turkish media outlets are responsible for spreading waves of racism that are alien to Turkish society.

The Syrian Future Movement holds the Turkish government and opposition responsible for protecting Syrian refugees.

The Syrian Future Movement calls for an end to the status of immigrants and supporters, for Syrians to be considered war refugees, and for their residency to be facilitated and not hindered.

The Syrian Future Movement calls on Syrian opposition institutions to take appropriate action with the Turkish government to protect Syrians in Turkey. This can be achieved by pressuring the Turkish government and opening channels of communication with the Turkish opposition, as well as all Turkish municipalities and organizations, to contain any racist behavior and prevent Syrians from being used as a bargaining chip at home or abroad.

The Syrian Future Movement calls for the punishment of all those involved in abusing Syrians in Turkey through the Turkish judiciary, whose justice we rely on.

The Syrian Future Movement calls on the international community to expedite a solution in Syria so that the Syrian people can return to Syria in freedom, safety, and dignity.

The Syrian Future Movement relies on the culture and authenticity of the Turkish people by rejecting racist rhetoric and behavior.
