Microsoft Corporation, headquartered in Palo Alto – San Francisco (California), announced that it has chosen Mr. Mustafa Suleyman, of Syrian origin and holding British nationality, to be the executive director of the company’s Artificial Intelligence division. He will also be responsible for leading all consumer-directed AI products and research, including all Project Copilot products, the Bing search engine, and the Edge browser.
Mustafa Suleyman helped lead Google’s DeepMind, a pioneering AI lab acquired by the company in 2014. He left Google to co-found Inflection AI, a startup in the artificial intelligence field, which recently reached a valuation of about $4 billion.
