Providing potable water is one of the best and most beneficial acts of charity. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “The best charity is the provision of water.”
Providing water is an ongoing charity, and it brings much goodness and blessing. It relieves thirst on the Day of Resurrection, so how much more so if it saves lives and protects against disease?
Because our people in Syria are suffering from the lack of access to potable water, which has become a heavy burden. The hardship of displacement, the pain of poverty, and epidemics have combined to create a shortage of clean water, which is the lifeblood of life, the Syrian Future Movement is working to respond to our people and has launched advocacy campaigns for a new water supply project, by drilling artesian wells in hard-to-reach areas in dire need of water.
This blessed project aims to drill wells. Equipped with a submersible pump and a solar-powered operating system, the project will continuously deliver water to those in need. With the efforts and partnership of charitable people, the project is planned to target villages and camps that lack water and electricity, with the goal of providing clean drinking water at the lowest possible cost and on a continuous basis. Let us be of assistance to our people in Syria. Cooling the heart and quenching the thirst of the thirsty are among the greatest gates leading to Paradise and among the reasons for expiating sins. It is a great gateway to eliminating illnesses. Through it, charity is continuous for oneself, one’s parents, and one’s children.
