Completion of the ‘English Language’ training.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) has completed a new training titled “English Level 1” in May 2024.
☆ The training targeted a number of teachers and university students, totaling 15 male and female trainees, with a duration of 18 hours spread over 6 days.
☆ The goal of the training is to build the capabilities of Syrian youth in the field of English.
☆ Type of training: In-person attendance, where trainees gathered at the SFM office in A’azaz, north of Aleppo, and learned the following skills:
- Letters and sounds
- Basic words and phrases
- Simple sentences
- Forming questions and answers
- Basic grammar
- Pronunciation, reading, and writing
☆ The training modules were distributed over the days as follows:
|| Day One: Introduction to the English alphabet and types of letters in English.
|| Day Two: Most commonly used words and phrases.
|| Day Three: How to construct simple sentences and identify parts of speech.
|| Day Four: Forming questions and answers in the following tenses: - Simple present and simple past
- Present continuous and past continuous
- Present perfect and past perfect

☆ The training evolved to enable trainees to critique previously handled cases, pointing out errors and difficulties to avoid them.
The training concluded on the sixth day and achieved its objectives through a survey conducted among the trainees to evaluate the training:

The results were positive, and the trainees expressed that the evaluation method was highly professional, with each trainee writing their assessment on a form that included the positives and negatives of the training and the challenges they faced.
