Regarding the campaign against transgender people
The Syrian Future Movement, according to its penetration within all segments and components of the Syrian people, believes that the Syrian people, in general, do not accept coexistence with transgender and sexually deviant individuals, or what are known as homosexuals. This is a feature that should be emphasized.
The Syrian Future Movement considers the stance on gender transition as one thing, and the way to deal with it as another, which should be based on ethical, fair, and respectful human rights principles.
The Syrian Future Movement considers the images that circulated on social media last Wednesday, 2025-02-05, of transgender individuals being beaten and humiliated, as irresponsible actions that must cease.
The Syrian Future Movement sees the state as a guardian of human rights in the enforcement of laws, and therefore, any violation of these rights should not be passed without accountability.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that the accused is a citizen, regardless of the extent of their crime, and there are humane and rights-based ways to deal with them by state authorities. The state should not allow its elements to act in ways resembling militia behavior.
The Syrian Future Movement calls for reinforcing human rights principles and implementing training sessions for all personnel in the police, security forces, and judicial officers. We are ready to contribute to these sessions, fostering awareness about the distinction between a modern state’s mindset and the lawless, vindictive militia mentality.
The Syrian Future Movement calls for distinguishing between the community’s right to apply justice to those it deems criminals and the individual’s right to the respect of their humanity when the law is applied to them.
The Syrian Future Movement calls for reforming the way all those wanted, pursued, or arrested are dealt with, especially since they do not resist arrest, and calls for the rehabilitation of prisons and security centers in accordance with the stature of the new Syrian state that we all dream of.
The Syrian Future Movement calls for respecting the culture of the Syrian people and encourages the promotion of a culture of dialogue and collaboration with Arab, Islamic, and Western countries that have previous experience with issues of gender transitions and how to address their challenges, ensuring the rights of both the community and individuals.
