On the repercussions of the Jdeidet al-Fadl massacre on the region and our revolution
Syrian Future Movement …
The Syrian regime, represented by its militias and soldiers from the Alawite sect, alongside the militias and members of the Lebanese Hezbollah, has committed a horrifying massacre, witnessed by the entire world, against the people of Jdeidet al-Fadl in recent days. This was followed by statements from Sheikh Adnan al-Arour (Syrian) and Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir (Lebanese), which align precisely with what the Syrian regime desires — dragging the entire region into a raging war between Sunnis and Shias. This diverts the focus of the Syrian cause away from its true goal: a genuine popular revolution aimed at toppling Syria’s criminal tyrant and transitioning the country toward safety and security after achieving the long-awaited freedom and dignity.
Syrian Future Movement …
Warns the Sunni people of Syria and Lebanon, in particular, to be cautious of falling into this trap, which allows the regime to mobilize the Western world under the pretext of a so-called “genocide against Shias in the region.” The Syrian Future Movement also warns against media statements that do not serve our revolution (and may even attract Western sympathy toward the regime instead of us), even though these statements may come from well-meaning individuals.
Mercy to the martyrs, and may justice be served against the killers.
