On the Speech of the Criminal Killer Bashar Hafez Al-Assad, 2013

The Syrian Future Movement stated:
They killed innocent civilians to extinguish the light in our country! They assassinated skilled minds to spread their ignorance among us! They destroyed infrastructure built with the people’s money, embedding suffering into our lives! They deprived children of their schools to ruin the country’s future and showcase their ignorance! They cut electricity, communications, and fuel supplies, leaving the elderly and children to endure the winter’s cold without medicine, a testament to their brutality! Their theft is evident in their destruction of silos and theft of wheat and flour, turning a loaf of bread into a distant dream, leaving citizens hungry!
They are enemies of the people, and the enemies of the people are enemies of God, who will be cast into hellfire on Judgment Day!

The Syrian Future Movement asserts:
The criminal killer Bashar Al-Assad spoke the truth in everything he said. For the first time, he expressed what every revolutionary Syrian citizen thinks:
Indeed, he is the one who killed civilians. He is the one who assassinated talents. He is the one who destroyed infrastructure. He is the one who deprived our children of their schools. He is the one who cut off electricity and communications. He is the one who made us endure the winter’s cold. He is the leader of the gang of thieves that plundered the nation’s wealth for forty years.
Yes, he is the enemy of the people. The enemy of the people is the enemy of God, and the enemy of God will be cast into hellfire on Judgment Day.

The Syrian Future Movement notes:
In his speech, the criminal killer Bashar Al-Assad posed questions worth pausing and answering. He said:
*A revolution is built on thought—so who knows of a thinker in this revolution? A revolution requires leaders—so who knows of a leader in this revolution? Is this a revolution, and are these people revolutionaries?

The Syrian Future Movement responds:
The criminal president betrayed his people from the early days of their blessed revolution. How, then, could he recognize a leader of this revolution by name? Every child has become an exemplary leader in the arenas of honor. Every young man symbolizes heroism. Every elderly man has become a legend of resilience, not to mention the noble women.
Neither the criminal president nor the audience at the Opera House, whom he asked, “Who knows a thinker in this revolution?” will find an answer. This is because the Quranic verse we referenced at the start of our statement applies to the president of the Opera and the chorus in attendance. Nevertheless, the answer to his question lies in our anthem:
From us are the leaders; from us is Al-Rashid,
So why not prevail and why not build?

The Syrian Future Movement strongly condemns the insults the so-called “president” directed at his people, calling them “thieves, wolves, servants, humiliated, spies, a handful of criminals, extremists.” The Movement files a defamation lawsuit in the Syrian revolutionary courts against him in the name of the Syrian revolutionary people, accompanied by his recorded speech.
