Podcast of SFM (27): The Political System of the State from the SFM’s Perspective (3)
- We aim for the state to have a genuine House of Representatives and an independent Parliament responsible for drafting and enacting legal legislations (as a form of binding consultation). This body should be elected freely and transparently through meticulously studied mechanisms.
- We believe that one of the most crucial pillars of the new political system is to build a strong and independent judiciary that enhances the rule of law and protects individual rights and freedoms. This will be achieved by establishing a Supreme Judicial Council that oversees the judiciary and interacts with both the legislative and executive branches, acting as a link between them, free from internal or external dictates or security pressures that could compromise its integrity.
- We see the necessity of creating a Higher Oversight and Accountability Council or Authority to supervise and monitor various public and private sectors within the state.
