About the massacres of the town of Qarfa in the Daraa countryside
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) expresses its condolences to our people in the town of Qarfa in rural Daraa, and to all Syrians for the horrific massacres that occurred between 2013 and 2015. These crimes were acknowledged and testified by former member of the People’s Committees, Khaldoon Ibrahim Al-Ghazali, and then covered up by the Assad regime.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) uses this incident, committed by criminals from the same town as the notorious General Rustum Al-Ghazali, to emphasize that Syria’s problem is not sectarian but a struggle between a free people yearning for freedom and a Syrian regime that has gathered monsters to serve its interests and maintain its rule.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) believes that Syria urgently needs to transition to genuine social justice to move beyond the era of war and bloodshed. Any other solution would be a waste of time, a squandering of rights, and the fuel for a raging fire underneath ashes.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) calls for the prosecution of every criminal involved in Syrian bloodshed through a fair and national judiciary. This is the only guarantee to prevent the recurrence of horrific massacres like those witnessed, including Khaldoon Al-Ghazali, and to utilize their testimonies in both local and international courts.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) considers that cataloging individual and mass massacres is impossible without changing the structure of the current Syrian regime and without Syrians agreeing on a new phase where fair law is implemented.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) advocates for an audit of civil records for all Syrian citizens and residents, especially during the time periods preceding and following known violations and massacres, at least since the 1980s until today.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) absolves every criminal and murderer, regardless of their affiliation with the Syrian regime or current authorities, and insists on the necessity of holding all criminals accountable equally, regardless of their political stance, religious affiliation, or social status.
