A decade has passed since the chemical massacre, yet we still suffocate, The criminal is Assad!
Amid contractions in the pupils of the eyes, salivation, severe difficulty breathing, and the emission of foul odors that reached the outskirts of the capital, Damascus, 1466 innocent Syrian souls perished. This occurred on August 21, 2013, in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta, due to Assad’s regime’s use of chemical weapons there.
- The Syrian Future Movement commemorates with our steadfast people the painful chemical massacre, mourning those we lost, and committing to holding the criminals accountable, even if it takes time.
- The Syrian Future Movement sees the anniversary of the chemical massacre as an opportunity to remind the leaders of Arab nations, officials, politicians, and those who welcomed and then shook hands with “Bashar al-Assad”, the chemical criminal (where all international reports prove his involvement) who killed without blinking an eye. It’s time for them to return to their political wisdom and moral depth and support the oppressed Syrian people against the oppressor.
- The Syrian Future Movement believes that the Syrian people (both supporters and opponents) are still suffocating. However, this is due to the criminal regime’s policies, corruption, impoverishment, and humiliation of its citizens in their daily bread.
- The Syrian Future Movement believes that the only remedy for the Syrians’ ongoing suffocation is the departure of Assad and his regime and the implementation of UN Resolution 2254.
- The Syrian Future Movement calls on the international community to take responsibility and ensure justice by holding the criminals who killed the Syrian people accountable, with Bashar al-Assad at the forefront.
- The Syrian Future Movement holds socialist Russia, Bashar al-Assad’s ally, historically and morally responsible for supporting the chemical criminal’s stay in power, built upon the bodies of Ghouta’s children and their families.
- The Syrian Future Movement holds Iran and its militias, which hide behind the cloak of Hussein’s love, responsible for their betrayal of Hussein’s principles in supporting the oppressed and confronting the oppressor.
- The Syrian Future Movement believes that the sacrifices of the Syrian people will not be in vain, and the crime of using chemical weapons will backfire on the criminal (and we see signs of the people’s uprising in the areas under regime control, including his hometown). Likewise, all of his allies (and we witness the calamities of Russia and Iran and count them) and everyone who has and will shake the hand of the criminal (a warning to the Arab brethren of the Syrian people).
