On October 29, 1923, the establishment of the modern Turkish Republic was declared, adopting a democratic republican system for governance. Subsequently, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was elected President of the state by the members of the People’s Assembly in Ankara. In turn, Atatürk appointed İsmet İnönü as Prime Minister, thereby establishing the first Turkish government on October 30, 1923.

The Syrian Future Movement, on the occasion of the Republic of Turkey’s founding anniversary, extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the friendly Turkish people—its leadership, government, and citizens.

The Syrian Future Movement looks forward to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, serving the interests of both peoples and contributing to achieving stability and peace in the region.

The Syrian Future Movement thanks Turkey for what it has provided to Syrian refugees on its soil and appreciates all efforts that uphold the dignity of Syrians and prevent harm from dark forces seeking to divide the two peoples.

The Syrian Future Movement regards Turkey as a major regional power in our region and underscores the importance of its role in reaching a comprehensive, genuine political solution in Syria that preserves the rights of the Syrian people and leads them toward a national state contributing to the progress and leadership of our region.
