This step reactivates the Syrian diplomatic presence in Libya and primarily aims to restore direct communication with the Syrian community, safeguard its interests, and provide consular services to its members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement welcomes this step, which embodies the commitment of the new Syrian government to reorganize and reactivate its diplomatic missions abroad. However, the Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that this achievement, despite its importance, is only a first step in a broader process of restoring diplomatic relations with various countries. The real challenge lies in expanding this experience and opening Syrian embassies in all countries of the world that are still awaiting the return of Syrian diplomatic representation. This will serve the interests of Syrians abroad, strengthen Syria’s international presence, and open new horizons for cooperation and partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement notes that the reopening of the embassy, \u200b\u200bwhich took place in the presence of Arab and foreign diplomats and officials, embodies Syria’s return to its Arab and regional environment and reflects a shared desire to enhance cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also commend the signing of the agreement to reactivate the Joint Higher Committee between Syria and Libya, the agreement to activate maritime and air transport routes, and the work to establish a Higher Committee for Cooperation, leading to the formation of a Business Council, which will contribute to increased mutual investments and reconstruction efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement notes that the embassy will be responsible for monitoring and regulating the affairs of Syrians who have sought refuge in Libya, and for providing consular services to the community, estimated at around 200,000 citizens.
