While the Syrian Future Movement values \u200b\u200bthis achievement, which embodies the will of the Syrian people to overcome the division and build a unified state, it sees it as the culmination of continuous efforts that began with the signing of the January 29, 2026 agreement, and a true test of the new state’s ability to manage diversity and consolidate the foundations of stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First: The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the announcement of the completion of the integration and commends the efforts exerted by the presidential team and relevant parties to reach this stage. It considers this a pivotal step towards unifying state institutions, turning the page on division, and realizing the vision of a “New Syria” based on national unity and the rule of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This announcement comes approximately eight months after the signing of the January 29, 2016 agreement, which stipulated the integration of the civilian and military institutions of the Autonomous Administration into the Syrian state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also support the statement made by the Deputy Governor of Hasakah and spokesperson for the Presidential Team, Ahmed al-Hilali, that “integration is not limited to administrative or security procedures, but is a comprehensive national project,” and that the government seeks “to overcome the stage of division and the effects of years of war, and to move towards a stage of statehood and the rule of law.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement views this announcement, embodied in Abdi’s statement about a “new stage” and the beginning of a “political struggle” to enshrine rights in the constitution, as an acknowledgment of the inevitability of Syrian state unity and a first step towards building a new relationship between the central government and the regions based on equal citizenship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secondly<\/strong>, the Syrian Future Movement points to the strategic importance of this step, which puts an end to the years-long separation between the east and west banks of the Euphrates, paves the way for the return of state institutions to all Syrian territory, strengthens security and stability, and contributes to accelerating reconstruction and development. The Syrian Future Movement also notes that the merger announcement was not merely a political declaration, but rather the culmination of a series of practical steps on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this context, we recall the announcement made by the Governor of Hasakah, Noureddine Ahmed, on July 30, 2026, regarding the completion of approximately 70% of the process of merging and activating official institutions in the governorate. This included the integration of some 20,000 employees in the education sector, about 2,000 employees in the health sector, and roughly 700 employees in the electricity directorate, as well as the complete merger of the directorates of agriculture, internal trade, and consumer protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We commend these practical achievements, which demonstrate that the merger has not remained merely theoretical, but has begun to translate into tangible reality on the ground.
