The Syrian Future Movement is following the teachers’ sit-in protest held on Monday, August 10, 2026, in Saadallah al-Jabiri Square in Aleppo. However, the protesting teachers, some of whom have nearly 25 years of service, believe that these conditions have “left a number of them out of the regularization and integration decisions, despite some possessing many years of teaching experience.” They are demanding that their files be reopened and that the circumstances of each case be examined individually, in addition to settling their financial entitlements for previous periods of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Syrian Future Movement believes that the teachers’ fundamental demand\u2014”reconsidering their situations and studying the circumstances of each case individually”\u2014raises broader questions about how the state can balance the need for clear employment criteria with its duty to do justice to those who have dedicated years of service during a period of instability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The experience these teachers have accumulated, as they themselves express it, should not be reduced to a mere numerical criterion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
