The Syrian Future Movement continues its focus on intellectual and cultural initiatives that contribute to strengthening national awareness and reinterpreting Syrian history as a fundamental pillar in building the future. Based on this approach, the Syrian Future Movement participated in a scholarly symposium organized by the Syrian National Library in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, entitled: “Syria in the History of Civilization: Past, Present, and Future.” The symposium, presented by researcher Dr. Omar Shahrour, took place on Sunday, July 27, 2026, in the lecture hall of the Syrian National Library in Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement was represented at the symposium by Mr. Haidar al-Hammadi, a member of the Popular Base Bureau. He attended alongside a select group of researchers, academics, and those interested in cultural and intellectual affairs, in a meeting characterized by purposeful dialogue and the exchange of views on Syria’s civilizational standing, its historical role, and the prospects for restoring its cultural presence in the coming period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement believes that restoring Syria’s civilizational role cannot be achieved merely by invoking the past as a source of pride, but rather by transforming its cultural heritage into a contemporary national project that contributes to human development, strengthens a unified national identity, and entrenches a culture of dialogue, openness, and knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement affirms that supporting intellectual and scientific seminars and engaging in the national cultural movement are integral to its vision of building a modern state based on knowledge, respect for diversity, connecting the past with the present, and envisioning the future with a scientific and institutional mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement also commends the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and the Syrian National Library in organizing such events and calls for their expansion to include all Syrian governorates, thereby strengthening national culture and restoring the role of cultural institutions in shaping awareness, building future generations, and consolidating the values \u200b\u200bof citizenship and belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
