The Syrian Future Movement follows with great appreciation and pride the launch of the first phase of the “Bada’at Balaa” medical campaign, implemented by Qatar Charity in cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Health. Launched on Tuesday, July 27, 2026, in five governorates (Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, and Idlib), the campaign aims to perform more than 830 specialized surgeries over 25 days in 15 hospitals across these governorates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement commends this renewed humanitarian initiative and praises Qatar’s continued support for the Syrian health sector, considering it an embodiment of the genuine Arab spirit of solidarity and a response to the urgent needs of thousands of patients in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The planned surgeries include highly specialized and critical procedures, most notably 750 cataract removal surgeries with the provision of eyeglasses for beneficiaries, 70 surgeries to correct congenital heart defects in children, 10 open-heart surgeries, and 6 cochlear implant surgeries for the hearing impaired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These figures demonstrate the campaign’s seriousness and comprehensiveness, and its responsiveness to the genuine needs of patients who have suffered for years from a lack of advanced medical services as a result of the systematic neglect and destruction policies implemented by the ousted regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement notes that this campaign is part of an ongoing series of Qatari initiatives supporting the Syrian health sector, reflecting a strategic commitment to alleviating the suffering of Syrians and developing local medical capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is worth mentioning that this campaign follows the “Giving Without Borders” campaign launched by the Qatar Red Crescent Society last February, demonstrating Qatar’s commitment to sustaining and expanding its support to include diverse medical specialties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
