The Free Syrian People: An Icon of Sacrifice at the Dawn of the 21st Century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born from the womb of suffering and decades of tyranny, they ignited in March 2011 one of the greatest popular revolutions in modern history, chanting for freedom, dignity, and social justice for all citizens without discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Beginning of the Uprising and the Building of a Dignified Society<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With the first spark igniting in the defiant city of Daraa, the Syrian provinces rallied in an unparalleled national epic. Squares transformed into intellectual and social beacons, embodying committees for the revival of genuine civil society, fueled by spontaneous popular awareness. The people shattered the barrier of fear imposed by the Assad regime for decades, and peaceful demonstrations erupted, chanting with one voice, “One, one, one\u2026 the Syrian people are one,” heralding the dawn of a new era, one where there is no place for subservience or humiliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Resilience in the Face of the Machine of Oppression<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Free Syrian People, with bare chests and united bodies, confronted the regime’s most brutal security apparatus, defying tanks and bullets with cries for freedom. When justice was absent and the international community took sides, the revolutionary youth organized a civil and humanitarian movement to protect cities and towns, declaring a firm, historic stance: “No dialogue with those who shed blood, and no legitimacy for a regime that kills its own people.” Compromises and partial solutions were offered to this people, but with their keen awareness, they rejected any appeasement that would compromise the rights of the nation’s martyrs and detainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sacrifice and Loyalty to the Revolution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The free Syrian people paid a heavy price in the blood of their sons and daughters, the displacement of millions, and the destruction of cities, yet they continued to uphold the core of their ideology and political vision, which rejects injustice. With the martyrdom of their national figures on the path to freedom, this people grew even more determined, proving to the entire world that tyrants may destroy stone, but they cannot break the will of a nation that has decided to live in dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This great people, who continue to struggle and rebuild in refugee camps and within Syria, have not and will not compromise on their national rights.
